Rolling Eyesores

Here is a post (and the pic above) from Shigeko Tachikawa on My Second Life (here) that I think everyone should read. Shig started ...

The bus got stuck there several days ago. Contrary to AnnMarie's claims, it did not auto-destroy itself either after becoming stuck. [x] AR filed (SLurl)

shigeko.tachikawa By the way... I wonder why there's no response from the lab yet about her (self-replicating in order to circumvent the auto-return) bus stop signs which she dropped at all rez zones all over the mainland.

vick.forcella Since those zombie vehicles run just about everywhere, since she rezzes them from her own land (she must own quite a lot of land), since she attends quite a lot of Linden Lab meetings, I suspect she is Uber FIC and above the TOS.

vick.forcella I guess Noobs will like them, residents that like to explore and drive don't.

shigeko.tachikawa She does not rez them from her own land most of the time. There are her "Bus Stop" signs now all over the mainland and they are self-replicating to make sure there will be a new one in place as soon as the old one is about to be auto-returned. Worthy an AR for abuse of region resources and littering, if you ask me.

vick.forcella Oh. I haven't noticed she uses/ abuses the rezz zones. Worthy of an AR, next time I see one.

uccello.poultry May I publish this thread on my blog, Vick and Shig?

shigeko.tachikawa @uccie: Sure, but it's probably even better to point to the ongoing discussion at SLU, where AnnMarie is even commenting on a few things: http://www.sluniverse.com/php/vb/general-sl-discussion/86077-guess-whos-again-exploiting-mainland.html

vick.forcella I'm ok if you publish Uccie.

vick.forcella She makes monies from those zombie vehicles: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/General-Discussion-Forum/Beware-of-others-spoofing-your-SL-account-in-messages-to-Lindens/m-p/2157101/highlight/true#M124061

uccello.poultry Thanks, y'all!

Blogging a Profile Feed

Another busy day in Real Life meant very little time in Second Life. For quick blogging on days like today, the Post to My Profile Feed button in the Snapshot pane is very handy. I just wish there was a way to publish that feed here on the Blogger platform. I don't know if Wordpress or other services can do that, but I've not found any reliable way to do that here.

And then peeking at the feed as it is, I wonder how the Adult Verification system affects feeds. For example, can a G-rated noobie see explicit pictures in other people's profiles? My pictures there are borderline since no bits are showing, but someone would likely see this as an issue. Oh, my goodness .... what about my child avatar friends? *blush*

A quick comb through of the Terms of Service and the Community Standards don't have any specific information about maturity ratings and Profile Feeds that I can find, but I think that one picture just might be a bit too personal.

*/me looks at the Delete Snapshot option in the feed*

No Reason At All - Bunny Edition

My Second Life® is no longer filled with bunnies. They've been given away or sold. Well, two still have my name on them, but as far as I'm concerned they belong to someone else and I'm just waiting to transfer them. Too many people I know were hurt during a recent debacle with an in-world bunny "game" and I can no longer in good conscience give my money to the owners. For me it was a hobby. A way to share experience with my friends and to help others. Now it has become a black subject.

For now I'll stay in the game group (I still assist others and begrudgingly have to buy bunny food at times, so I'm still a customer) but I'm bunny-free. Just some nice pics are left and some happy memories I refuse to let the ill-advised behavior of others tarnish.

Check out these sites if you are confused or if you want more information:

Wrongly Accused Ozimal Customer: Points out that many of the problems involved grid issues, that investigations were not conducted, and that customers were not given due process.

Bragg v. Linden Lab: Reminds us that The Lab's Terms of Service (ToS) is inherently unenforceable and thus the bunny game ToS is unenforceable, particularly since the ToS is not given before one makes a purchase to join.

Bunnies left to right in the pic: Pedoretes, Reekalf, Antioch, Caerbannog. I'm in the middle.

Content Theft: Brooklyn Designs part 2

Dear Friends and Customer.

As most of you know i create a special line of clothes for a brand called BD Designs (nothing to do with DK Designs). The owner of this brand was brooklyn Rickena. During long time, she was selling the designs that me ( i helped her to start with the brand) and Belladona Cordero (she did more than 40 outfits for BD) did for her. our agrement was based on profit share, but one day, this girl decide dont share nothing with the creators and keep all the money for herself. I left this brand so time ago so this decision didnt affect to me so much, but Belladona continue working for her and i know she was hurt with the decision of Brooklyn Rickena take making a box with all the BD stuff FULL PERMS. Neither Belladona and me autorithed this decision, so we would like that any ppl receiving this box take care of use like freebie or resell. there a lot of work behind that and nobody has rights to sell. BD Design still alive and Janeforyou Barbara and Belladona Cordero still working and managing the company. I dont like that any of my friends or customer will be affected or damage for any consecuence of the bad use of this stuff so i would ask to everybody can receive that box, dont do any comercial use of that or prepare gift like freebie with that stuff. Brooklyn Canceled her SL account so probably she will no be affected for any legal decision about the bad use of the clothes.

thanks for your understanding and best regards
Dexter Kaupas

Brooklyn Rickena
AngelMia Nightfire
CaraMia Hanna

This information is from the current business owners: Janeforyou Barbara and BellaDonna Cordero. Linden Labs has been notified and the legal paperwork has been started.
