Cliff Diving @ Dive World

Yes, I spend a lot of time at Dive World (SLurl). Yesterday and today I've been cliff diving off the waterfall in the western region (SLurL). No poseballs for that so I'm using my Swimmer from Siggy's waterworks. Lots of fishies in the water and an fighter plane wreck at the bottom of the lake. Sometimes I put on my scuba gear and explore it. There are a lot of interesting things like that to see in any of the Dive World regions, wildlife and structures, alike.

My friend Kaikou Splash is doing most of the building, it seems, and right now he's adding an underwater observatory near the spot the manta ray school frequents. More wildlife is showing up in various places. A school of hammerhead sharks was spotted near the wreck of a galleon and some interesting critters are in a cliff-side cave.

Mermaiding @ Splash Aquatics!

If you go to the Dive Shop at Splash Aquatics (SLurl) you can slip into the Dive Hole and enter the fabulous salt water aquarium that Kaikou Splash has created. Here is my friend Usra in her beautiful Betta Splendens avie by Tekelili Tantalus (SLurl) enjoying the lush scenery. This spot really needs to be featured by Linden Labs® as a top destination to show what Second Life® is capable of being. Furthering the excellence, Kaikou added educational materials about our fragile planet to his shop so you can not only purchase the goodies that make up his aquarium but you can learn something, too.

Splash Aquatics also features freshwater items, decorative elements for your landscape, and much, much more. A theater is on the grounds and you can relax with some freshwater fishing (not 7Seas Fishing, but an original game that is rather fun). If you'd rather not dive in with the fishies, the aquarium has a tunnel tour for landlubbers.

For divers, snorkelers, beach lovers, and anyone who just likes exploring, Kaikou has also built Dive World: PADI Scuba Diving Underwater World (SLurl). Usra and I dive there a lot. Like the aquarium there is a lot to see and much to learn. Educational signs at Dive World link to highly-informative Web pages. Really, you don't need dive gear or to be a mermaid or even have a swim AO*). You can simply walk the ocean floor (or fake swim in Fly mode).

###

*Swim AO: Usra uses the Zi Ree's ZiSwim (SLurl? Shop is missing!) while I use the Swimmer by Siggy Romulus (SLurl). Many AO attachments allow you to add animations for swimming, but don't actually keep your avie afloat like these specialty units.

Skinny Swimming on my Reef

Melancholy struck again today as I swam on the reef I made at my home. When the original Swimmer by Siggy Romulus was killed by the Havok4 upgrade I was forced to rely on a swim AO and my skill mashing the Page Up and Page Down buttons while navigating and running a simple swimming anim or just hanging on the surface. Or I'd use some great "swim balls" that my friend Serenity found. More often I'd just sit on the seafloor to watch my fishies (exclusively from Splash; SLurl). Recently Siggy's swimmer was updated (SLurl; Web) so I've been having more fun, as you can see in the picture. I even play "dodge the piranha" in my mountain pond. But what makes me sad is that I have to go enjoy other fine swimming and diving areas in-world. But usually I can't do that butt-nekkid (again, see picture).
